West Hill Pond Artist Residency is an artist run artist-in-residence program in rural north eastern Vermont. The residency is situated between the mountains of Groton and Putnam State Forests. Artists are invited to attend from early spring through late fall for durations that can span one week up to one month. During their stay they have access to private accommodations in a shared house, shared studio spaces, and the surrounding lake and meadow. At the end of their stay artists are given a show in the residency’s gallery, known as The Shed. Because of the remoteness and intimacy of the program there is currently no application cycle. Instead, artists who are interested are encouraged to get in touch via email with any projects they believe would be a good fit for the space. All disciplines are encouraged to apply. Artists from many different backgrounds have attended - from music, poetry, installation, to sculpture and painting.
